Almadraba self catering apartments are only a three minute walk from La Barrosa beach,there is a childrens play area,and tennis court for guests use.also a bar ,restaurant in the complex. Two great swimming pools with lifeguards .* swimming pools are open in mid june untill mid september.private garage available.

Area
Visit the place that the Spanish choose for their holidays! The Costa de la Luz (Coast of the Light) is steeped in Spanish culture and history. Unspoilt and traditional, there is something for everyone in this location.the famous blue flag La Barrosa beach with its 8km of beautiful white sand and promenade of restaurants, tapas bars and cafes are only minutes away. Nearby is the Novo Sancti Petri tourist complex, an enormous hotel and leisure development whose facilities include a 36 hole golf course designed by Severiano Ballesteros. Cadiz is only 30 minutes away and Jerez de la Frontera, famous for wine and horses, Seville and Gibraltar are also within easy travelling distance (tip - take sterling to Gibraltar as the euro exchange rate is not usually favourable!). Other places to visit include the rustic white village of Medina Sidonia.
Activities/festivals
Quad biking and horse riding facilities are available near by. Various golf courses and tennis courts and squash courts are also nearby. Beach activities include jet-skiing, fishing and wind surfing and La Barrosa beach has childrens amusements (bouncy slide and castle) and small fair rides on the promenade in high season. There is a waterpark in Puerto de Santa Maria which is easy to get to. As well as historical places of interest, there is also shopping! The Bahia Sur shopping mall of San Fernando is only 20 minutes away and Chiclana Centro holds a weekly outdoor market (Tuesdays). As well as year round wine-tasting opportunities, there are many fiestas and carnivals in this area. Examples include the carnival in Chiclana in early February that moves on to Cadiz. Easter sees fiestas in Jerez and Seville. Semana Santa (easter week) is truly spectacular.
Food and drink
Whether you choose to eat in or out, there is plenty of variety from beach-side cafes and tapas bars to 5 star hotels. Various restaurants, bars, cafes and bakeries can be found in La Barrosa and the complex of Novo Sancti Petri contains more restaurants, many offering local specialities. Locally caught fresh fish is a must and the rustic restaurants of the Marina are popular. Remember that the Spanish eat late! If you prefer to cook in the villas or use the BBQ, there are a variety of supermarkets and the large Hipersol nearby. Chiclana Centro also has an indoor market selling fresh fish, meat and vegetables. Some restaurants offer take-away food, such as spit-roast chicken and breaded local fish.

Although wine production has decreased considerably, you can still find excellent quality wines here. The “Chiclaneros” are very proud of their wine. The most famous wines are the fine whites and the Muscadets. Also, the sherry wine – dry, flagrant and muscatel is well worth a try.
Chiclana’s vineyards have become popular tourist attractions. Wine lovers come from all over to sample the product and learn about the history. Our wine making process is very traditional; we’ve been using the same methods for centuries.
Chiclana is a real Andalucian town, not just a built up tourist spot where you spend a vacation on the beach. It feels like a big city. Ten minutes drive, and you are on the stunning La Barrosa beach, or in the very cosmopolitan Novo Sancti Petri holiday resort. It is also the perfect place for a family holiday in spain.
